Pirates Picnic

2008

Nelson Bays Dive Club's scary sword wielding pirates lumbered towards the boats, they

were full of determination to find yet another haul of pirate treasure (including me).

After an exciting trip across to Haulashore island (Stu and I were on the Jet Ski) we

kids hungrily set off to do some adventuring and the adults sat down to have a peaceful

rest.

Secretly our treasure was hidden (behind some foul smelling penguin nest) we pirates

set off to find our booty!!! Amazingly it only took us a few minutes (hee hee) we kids

returned with a wooden box full of treasure. I have to say that I wasn't pleased when

pirates started fighting over who would get the most.

After eating a substantial portion of crisps, chocolate coins, mars bars, juice and fruit

bursts we pirates hankered to do some more adventuring before lunch. For lunch we had

some sausages in rolls with tons of tomato sauce- MMMmmm delicious!

After a lovely lunch Stu cranked up the Jet Ski and chucked on the biscuit (not the one

that you eat!), and there he was whizzing around the bay with two screaming kids

hanging out of the biscuit!

I was next in line to go with Daniel, once we were on the biscuit we were not allowed off! As Stu sped around Haulashore island we could faintly see Paul on the island taking photographs!

We all got about two goes on the biscuit and we enjoyed every second of it.

I would like to give a huge thank you to Paul for taking lots of excellent pics, Angus and Belinda for taking their boat, Stu for giving all us kids a life changing experience in the biscuit and to Dan for organizing the whole thing!
