In memory of Tom Smith
It was very sad to hear on the news of the loss of Tom Smith, Proprietor of Bounty Charters of Kaikoura. Over the past few years Nelson Bays Dive Club members have been fortunate enough to experience the hospitality of Tom onboard his vessel the Bounty. These trips will be remembered as entertaining and extremely educational as Tom was an encyclopaedia of information on all aspects of the marine and bird life in this area. It was undoubtedly this dedication and passion for the local marine life that led to his sad and untimely death. For those who had met Tom we will always remember the friendly smiling face. We wish Tom’s family our sincerest condolences on their loss of their loved husband and father.
